Welcome to the new blog of old ideas. In college I was an avid blogger, but as I’ve accumulated years and responsibilities, the feeling that my creative output should be “good” or “correct” has made my public writing happen much less often. This blog aims to change that. I’ll be exploring the intersection between the arts and technology, as well as recommending any media I consume along the way and feel compelled to share.
More than a year of living alone through a global pandemic has given me a lot of time to be alone with my thoughts. While I do have a core group of friends with whom I speak regularly about my concerns, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention The Lodge – a group of close friends who have been meeting bi-monthly, since March 2020, to discuss the state of the state of the world. Many of my insights and opinions stem from lengthy discussions with these friend – something for which I am forever grateful.
